UNESCO Associated Schools (ASPnet) Regional Seminar for the Arab States

Promoting Intercultural dialogue, coatributing to peace and quality education


A regional seminar for the Arab States to plan the UNESCO Associated Schools Strategy and Plan for the next six years is to be held at UNESCO Headquarters from December 14 to 16.

The Regional Seminar for ASPnet National Coordinators of the Arab Region is organized by UNESCO Associated Schools International Coordination in close cooperation with ISESCO and the Regional Offices of Doha and Beirut. 

The objective of the Seminar, which gathers together 15 countries of the Arab region, is to elaborate the next ASPnet Strategy and Plan, from 2010-2015.

It meets under the theme of promoting intercultural dialogue, contributing to peace and quality education and will focus on the major issue of ASPnet’s contribution to Education for All, through the education priorities of Education for Sustainable Development, the dynamic relation between Intercultural dialogue-Respect for cultural diversity-Identity and Heritage, and Inclusive quality education.

Education experts from UNRWA, UNEP, the International Olympic Committee and Life-Link/Sweden will attend.
