Equity perspective

The equity perspective is concerned with tackling social inequities and exclusion.

TVET should promote the skills of all learners, irrespective of gender, class, ethnicity, age or other social characteristics. While TVET can empower excluded individuals and groups both economically and socially, skills are only one aspect in promoting social inclusion. This is why it is important is locate TVET policies within wider public policies that include those for active labour markets measures, health and welfare, industrial development, technology and youth.
