Japanese student wins video contest on Education for Sustainable Development
“Dear You, in the Future”, by 20-year-old student Sachi Kitamura from Tokyo, Japan, is the winner of UNESCO’s video competition “Learning Today to Change Tomorrow”. She has won a Sony HDR-CX-116 Camcorder for her video on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Sachi’s video (1’38”) is composed of interviews and arresting images accompanied by an original soundtrack. It ends with the question: “What is ESD for you?”
Other videos selected for publication on the UNESCO website are: “Water School for a Living Yangtze” by the Shangri-la Institute in China, “Demain en marche” (Onward Tomorrow) by Adje Bienvenu from Benin, and “Learning Today to Change Tomorrow” by Shankar Musafir from India.
