Andrew Johnston


Andrew Johnston edited the GMR in 2009 as a consultant and joined the team part-time as GMR editor in February 2010. He also edits the World Education Blog for the team. His consultancy Language Aid helps UN agencies and other international organizations improve their written communications. From 1999 to 2010 he worked as an editor for the International Herald Tribune, including six years as deputy editor of the opinion pages. Andrew Johnston has degrees in English literature from the universities of Auckland and Otago, in New Zealand. His five books of poems have been published in Britain and New Zealand.
