Statistical tables

Most recent education statistics

The most recent data on pupils, students, teachers and expenditure presented in these statistical tables are for the school year ending in 2009.

They are based on survey results reported to and processed by the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) before the end of April 2011. The indicators on school access and participation in the statistical tables are based on the 2008 revision of population estimates produced by the UNPD. Future data release in the statistical tables will be based on the most recent United Nations population estimates (revision 2010).
