BeLonG To is a youth group for young gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Ireland. BeLonG To have published various resources for school staff and learners, including guidelines for the youth sector on addressing homophobia; development of training for teachers; and a programme that can be integrated into sexuality and relationships education. Education Development Center (EDC) is a global nonprofit organization that designs, delivers and evaluates innovative programs to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges in education, health, and economic opportunity. EDC has conducted research and developed a number of resources for bullying prevention including on issues such as bystanders and cyberbullying. Website

 

The Global Alliance for LGBT Education (GALE) is a learning community focusing on education about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues. GALE has developed a toolkit to make schools more accessible for all learners and to tackle the high rates of school drop out because of homophobic bullying. The toolkit contains 12 tools to integrate adequate attention of LBGT topics in curricula and school policies and includes practical tips for dealing with resistance to the introduction of school policies and measures to tackle homophobic bullying. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students in the US. Resources available for educators include Ready, Set, Respect’, a toolkit to prepare teachers for teaching about respect in elementary schools; guides and lesson plans for creating LGBT inclusive environments; a teachers’ guide on how to develop the ThinkB4YouSpeak campaign, which addresses homophobic name calling in the school environment; as well as the Safe Space Kit to be used by educators and learners to help make schools safe for LGBT youth. This is the global website of the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO), May 17th. The site features testimonies, videos, declarations, that speak out against homophobia and transphobia. It provides organisations with tools and resources to support them in campaigning for LGBTQI rights. Website

 

The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organization (IGLYO) has published Guidelines for an LGBTQ-inclusive education, as well as a periodical themed publication called "IGLYO on..." which provides lobbying, networking knowledge as well as information support for LGBT Youth and Students organisations in their fight for equality and justice. Stonewall has published various education resources for teachers, parents and young people, including survey tools, teacher training and teaching packs on homophobic bullying and other relevant issues.
