Kenya: Enhance Education for Peace and Learning to Live Together

TRA’s concept and approach help reinforcing the delivery of ongoing peace education efforts of the country while integrating the notion of non-discrimination and “whole school” approach namely through the development of the Kenyan version of the TRA tools and associated capacity development activities. It contributes to the reinforcement of the tenets related to equity, inclusiveness, equality, human rights, non-discrimination and the protection of marginalized groups contained in the National Education Sector Plan (NESP) and the National the Education Sector Policy on Peace Education. TRA was embedded in the process of the development of the education sector policy on peace education as well and is set to be a useful resource for the upcoming curriculum reform process in the country.
