The Education Research and Foresight (ERF) programme of the UNESCO’s Education Sector aims to inform the policy debate on education and development in a world of change, complexity and contradiction. This is done through: 

  • Research which provides policy-makers, educationists, and academics with insight into various facets of the future of education and learning;

  • Public policy fora on foundational principles for a humanistic approach to educational governance in the 21st century.
