Strategy
In order to achieve education for all, UNESCO aspires to make quality textbooks and other pedagogical materials available to all learners.
This objective can be reached through:
- Policy development: helping regions and countries develop policies for textbooks and learning materials that accelerate progress towards Education for All (EFA) and the Millennium Development Goals.
- Quality improvement: promoting textbook content and design that is consistent with the quality education framework.
- Increased availability: helping Member States develop sustainable ways to make textbooks and learning materials more available
