Peer learning in South Africa

This African-based programme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of youth by empowering them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to talk about issues related to health.

Informed teams of peer health educators, usually classmates, are trained to tackle issues such as the prevention of HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and substance abuse, as well as relationship issues.
