Experts to connect in St Petersburg on ICTs and education
An international conference to discuss challenges and share best practices in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education will be held in St Petersburg on November 15 and 16.
The conference, ICTs in Teacher Education: Policy Development, Open Educational Resources (OER) and Partnership, is organized by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) with the UNESCO Moscow office in partnership with three St Petersburg universities.
Topics under discussion will include; Teacher Development Policies and Programmes including deployment of ICTs, Innovative Media Technologies in Education and ICT Competencies of Teachers and Emerging Technologies.
A special session will be held for UNESCO Chairs and the UNITWIN Network.
Taking part will be leading international experts in ICTs in education and teacher development and government officials in charge of teacher development from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Republic of Moldova, Lithuania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan will take part in the Conference.
