Elisso Bolkvadze was designated UNESCO Artist for Peace in January 2015, in recognition of her commitment to supporting young talents in their musical education and creativity, particularly through her LYRA Foundation.

Founded in 2012, the LYRA Foundation aims to accompany young Georgian pianists in their studies and foster the emergence of their talent and artistic abilities.

Mrs. Elisso Bolkvadze is also the founder of the Batumi Music Festival, one of the most important cultural events in Georgia. This festival seeks to promote musical creativity, especially among young people, and strengthen cultural dialogue.

In her capacity as a UNESCO Artist for Peace, Ms Bolkvadze works with the Organization in the field of education of children in armed conflict situations. In addition to the educational aspect, her actions also focuses on the social reintegration of these children.

In September 2015, she participated in the 70th anniversary of UNESCO by organizing a gala concert and a press conference in Batumi, Georgia.
