HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in March 2005 for the empowerment of minority children through Education and through the preservation of their intangible cultural heritage.

In her capacity as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, she contributes to the achievement of the ‘education for all’ goals, especially in reaching out to marginalized groups.

In November 2005, she delivered a keynote speech on the occasion of the 5th Meeting of the Annual High-Level Group on Education for All (EFA), which took place in Beijing, China.

In addition, she participated to the celebration to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sri Savarindira held at UNESCO Headquarters in November 2012. For the occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn composed a song to honor her contribution to better the lives of Thai people in public health, education and culture.
