Music education video by Elisso Bolkvadze during school closures

On 10 May 2020, the Georgian pianist and UNESCO Artist for Peace Elisso Bolkvadze shared a music education video on the life and work of the famous musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

She therefore participated in UNESCO’s action for ensuring learning never stops during COVID-19 school closures.

Indeed, the closure of schools has affected over 1 billion children during that crisis. In light of her commitment to UNESCO in the fields of Music Education and Artistic Creativity, she created a video in which she teaches Georgian children, and beyond, about the work of Mozart.

Elisso Bolkvadze presents in depth information about the significance and legacy of the work of this great classical musician. The video features excerpts of the Concerto number 21 and Symphony number 40 performed by conductor Simon Rattle, and finally the famous Requiem performed by conductor Herbert von Karajan to illustrate the dead of Mozart.
