Panasonic organizes UNESCO World Heritage Eco Learning event for Ha Noi secondary students
Ha Noi, 10 August – Panasonic Viet Nam and UNESCO in Viet Nam organized a two-day World Heritage Eco Learning event at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, where secondary students learned about and participated in activities for the protection of cultural heritage and the environment.
At the event, over 400 Ha Noi secondary students and their teachers discovered the historical and cultural values of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, as well as the relationship between cultural preservation of environment protection. Students participated in a guided tour of the Citadel, game questionnaires about the site and an Eco Picture Diary Contest, where students discussed challenges to cultural and environmental protection and expressed their ideas through drawings.
The event was a part of the Panasonic Global Eco Learning Programme, where thousands of children around the world can learn about world heritage and propose ways to preserve historical and cultural values and protect the living environment.
The event was attended by representatives of Viet Nam’s Ministry of Education and Training and the Thang Long-Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre. Activities were supported by volunteers from Volunteering for Peace Viet Nam and Solidarité Jeunesse Viet Nam.
