UNESCO Iraq Director meets First Lady of Iraq
Within its efforts to expand UNESCO activities in Iraq, Mohamed Djelid, director of UNESCO Iraq office, accompanied by UNESCO expert Dr. Stuart Gibson, held a prolonged meeting with the First Lady of Iraq H.E Hero Ibrahim Ahmed on Tuesday 24 January 2012 to discuss the scope of cooperation between UNESCO and Iraq in the Sulaymaniyah region.

Freedom of Expression is a Human Right: UNESCO conference in Baghdad
“Freedom of Expression is a Human Right” was the theme of the one-day conference that took place on 17 December 2011 at the Iraqi parliament headquarters in Baghdad. The event was jointly organized by UNESCO’s Iraq Office, and the Iraqi parliamentary Human Rights Committee.
