Within the framework of UNESCO’s cooperation with the International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies (IHRNASS), the following activities were undertaken:

1. Three Iraqi Scholars participated in the “Biennial Meeting of International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies” in Sri Lanka during 3 -7 April 2007.
2. Adherence to the Programme “Scholars at Risk” aiming at supporting the Role of Women Iraqi Scientists in National Recovery and Reconstruction and seeking twinning opportunities for Iraqi scholars with international peers.
