Request for Proposal for Translating a Journalism Handbook

UNESCO is seeking partner(s) to translate into local languages, edit, and use the recently published Journalism, 'Fake News' and Disinformation: A Handbook for Journalism Education and Training.

Specifically, we are looking for a university partner(s), especially through its department of journalism or mass communication to assist in the following tasks:

  1. Translate the entire guidebook from English into Bahasa Indonesia
  2. To serve as Editor(s) for the Bahasa Indonesia version of the guidebook to ensure that the language is natural and consistent with the way it is used by journalists/journalism educators
  3. To design or incorporate the guidebook into curriculum related to journalism or media and information literacy whether in parts or in its totality

Interested institution(s) must submit the following information:

  • A reasonable budget for the translation and editing of the full handbook from English to Bahasa Indonesia
  • A 2-3 page proposal/workplan/timeline including on how to incorporate this guidebook into their curriculum

Submitters may be from a single institution or a coalition of two or more institutions. However, one of the institutions must be the named as the lead organization.
