Promoting Sustainable Development and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation at Mount Isarog Natural Park

With the support of Spanish Autonomous Organization for National Parks (OAPN), and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), UNESCO is assisting the Government of the Philippines to nominate the Mount Isarog Natural Park as its third Biosphere Reserve. The activities supported have included: Training cum Consultation-Workshop on the Man and Biosphere Programme for Mt Isarog Natural Park, Protected Area Management Board Organizational Assessment and Revitalization, and Review and Assessment of MINP Protection and Law Enforcement Mechanisms and developing an operations manual for putting in place effective coordination mechanism for the protection of MINP.
