Science scholarships at UNESCO’s International Centre for Theoretical Physics now available
Nepali graduates in natural sciences can now apply for scholarships for a one-year training in four specialized fields (Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics, Earth System Physics and Mathematics) at UNESCO’s Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy.
The postgraduate diploma course in physics is open to young (generally below 28 years of age) qualified graduates from all countries that are members of the United Nations, UNESCO or the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The courses will be held in Trieste during the period from 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2013 and will lead to the ICTP Postgraduate Diploma.
A limited number of scholarships for living expenses and travel (around 10 per field) will be awarded to successful candidates from developing countries. A limited number of qualified candidates may attend the course at their own cost. There are no course fees for Postgraduate Diploma Programme.
