OPORTUNITY FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN: Open call for art and science works in relation to the periodic table of chemical elements

From July 15 to December 15, 2019, a call for content and activities related to the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements will be open in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the periodic system of the elements made in 1869 by the Russian scientist Dmitri I. Mendeleev.

Within the framework of its renowned Open Science Forum (CILAC), the Regional Office for Sciences of UNESCO in Latin America and the Caribbean invites researchers, artists, designers and communicators from all over the region to present their productions and activities, whether cultural or academic, in various genres and formats on the occasion of this International Year.

Proposals must be sent through the form available at complelatabla.org or to the address forocilac@unesco.org

The selected works will be incorporated to the interactive map of activities related to the world of chemistry and celebrations of the anniversary of the Periodic Table of chemical elements that will be carried out throughout the world during the second half of 2019. They will also be disseminated in the official communication channels of UNESCO.
