Some fifty master's projects from six Latin American countries received innovation training for sustainable inclusive development

With the support of UNESCO, from September 11 to 17, 2019, the LALICS / YSI-INET / UdelaR Master's Academy: “Knowledge and innovation for inclusive and sustainable development” was held in Montevideo. LALICS is the Latin American Network for the study of Learning Systems, Innovation and Skills Building

The event was organized by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UDELAR) and the Institute for New Economic Thinking.

The objective of the Academy was to contribute to the strengthening of the skills and abilities of master's students for the development of their thesis, both at the theoretical and empirical level, in topics related to the analysis of innovation and development processes in Latin America and the Caribbean, in line with the areas of interest of LALICS.

A total of 51 master's projects from some 16 areas of knowledge were presented in this framework, ranging from sociology and economics to industrial engineering, to name a few. The proposals came from universities in 6 countries in Latin America.
