Scholarships for International Water Law Module at the University of Dundee
As capacity-building support to its partner organizations, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) together with the Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science at the University of Dundee will offer scholarships for 30 participants to undertake a module in International Water Law in Dundee, Scotland, from 10 - 21 June 2013.
The module is aimed at persons working in water resources who wish to acquire specialist knowledge of international water law, especially as it relates to transboundary water challenges in the GWP regions.
The module will be highly appropriate for those with a law degree and environmental science background who want to specialize in transboundary water. The primary target is mid to high level practitioners and professionals from governments, NGOs, international organizations, academia, and the private sector. To qualify for the scholarship, successful recipients must attend both weeks of the course and undertake the assessment.
The first week of the above module is entitled the "4th Annual International Law and Transboundary Freshwaters Workshop" and is available to attend as a stand-alone event although the scholarships will not cover just one week’s attendance. The price to attend the workshop event only is £995 - discounts may be available on application.
