Anti-doping: amended Prohibited List comes into force on 1 September 2014
Hypoxia-Inducible Factor (HIF) activators Xenon and Argon are now included in the 2014 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods.
Following the required three-month notice period and UNESCO’s communication to all States Parties, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has completed its amendment to Section S2 (Peptide hormones, growth factors and related substances) of the List.
Starting with 1 September 2014, the erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents such as Xenon and Argon are prohibited.
