Belize contributes $25,000 to UNESCO’s Emergency Fund
UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova has expressed her appreciation to the Government of Belize for its decision to contribute $10,000 to UNESCO’s Multi-donor Emergency Fund.
She expressed also her gratitude to the Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of Belize to UNESCO, H. E. Mr. Bassam Said Freiha for his personal donation of $15,000 to UNESCO’s Emergency Fund.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks for your generous contributions to UNESCO’s Multi-donor Emergency fund,” said Irina Bokova. “These valuable gestures are of great benefit to the Organization’s priority programmes and reform process.”
The Director-General noted that these funds will be allocated for the priorities of the Organization and most urgent needs.
