H.R.H. Princess Dana Firas of Jordan promotes heritage of the future at the Herald Design Forum 2018

H.R.H. Princess Dana Firas of Jordan, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, took part in the 8th edition of the Herald Design Forum under the theme “Designing Future”, which was held at Seoul from 14 to 15 September last.

The Forum brought together 500 guests including internationally recognized designers, architects, experts from the areas of culture and business, to discuss how design can help us picture a better future, with the support of technological and scientific innovations.

Princess Dana Firas spoke about the key role of cultural heritage as an inspirational force in modern and contemporary design of space, buildings and objects, and how design can be a force for promoting sustainable development and better quality of life.

Her remarks echoed her work as President of the Petra National Trust dedicated to the preservation and protection of this World Heritage Site.

The Princess continues to carry out her mission as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador committed to the protection and preservation of heritage as a pillar of sustainable development.
