Irina Bokova takes part in ECOSOC High-level Segment

From 28 June to 2 July 2010, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova participates in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) High-level Segment at UN Headquarters in New York.
Other than attending meetings in the framework of the Segment, the Director-General is expected to take part in activities related to UNESCO’s priority as regards gender equality and hold bilateral talks with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, UNICEF Director-General Anthony Lake, UNDP Administrator Helen Clark, UNFPA Executive Director Thoraya Obaid and UNDESA Under-Secretary-General Sha Zukang.
