On the occasion of the Saudi National Day on 23 September last, Jean Michel Jarre, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, performed a concert in Riyadh to deliver a message to Saudi youth to remind of our responsibility for the preservation of our planet.

Combining culture and cutting-edge technologies, Jean-Michel Jarre used solar panels to supply energy to its laser and pyrotechnic instruments. The Green Concert performance free and open to everybody aimed to bring together women and men in a single community and to raise world awareness on the urgency for the planet to turn to renewable energies.

Apart from his fabulous musical career, Jean-Michel Jarre is fully associated with UNESCO’s reflexion and action in favor of sustainable development and heritage. His many concerts are very often dedicated to these issues.
