'Para mestizar' featured in 'A buena hora' programme on Radio Taíno

On 9 February, in the Havana club 'La Zorra y el Cuervo', Eme Alfonso participated in a concert and live interview for the programme 'A buena hora', on Radio Taíno.

This young Cuban singer shared his songs, influences and projects with the public over two hours. Special guests were also featured on stages such as the group Síntesis, X Alfonso, pianist Denis Peralta, saxophonist Regis Molina and singer Jorgito Kamankola.

The concert culminated with the song 'Para mestizar' (In order to intermingle), which encapsulates the central theme of the project. This project is supported by the UNESCO Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Cuban Ministry of Culture, the Instituto Cubano de la Música (Cuban Institute of Music), and the embassies of Britain, Norway, Spain and France in Cuba. Eme Alfonso, together with the coordinator of the project Ismael Sayyad, explained to those present and those listening on the radio the purpose of a new videoclip that they are filming with Joseph Ros. The video deals with cultural diversity, in order to demonstrate the richness of cultures found on this island, for the benefit of the population of Cuba and the rest of the world.
