Saudi cultural days

Under the auspices of UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Abdul Aziz Khoja, a series of events under the theme “Saudi Cultural Days” will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 17 to 19 April. This cultural event is organized by the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO.


On 17 April, the Director-General and the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information will open the three day event that includes a range of activities: a photo exhibition of the two Holy Mosques, a painting and an exhibit dedicated to the palm tree, an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, a fashion show presenting traditional costumes  and a fine arts exhibit.  There will also be a concert featuring folk dances, singing and poetry, as well as a reception followed by a sampling of various traditional dishes from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
