The first User's guide for Stand-by Partnerships has been published
Secondments from Stand-by Partners are not only a vehicle for mutual exchange of know-how, but also a valuable mechanism for strengthening the delivery capacity of UNESCO's Field Offices to respond to unforeseen conflicts and disasters.
The main objective of this new practical guide is to provide UNESCO staff members in the field offices and at headquarters with practical advice on how to make optimal use of these experts who are made available to UNESCO as an in-kind contribution. The guide explains the modalities of secondment and indicates procedures at every stage of the deployment cycle, from the initial request to completion of the assignment.
