The International Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra will give two concerts in June to support #Unite4Heritage campaign

The International Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra, UNESCO Artists for Peace, directed by Amine Kouider, also UNESCO Artist for Peace, will give two concerts on both 13 and 14 June next to support the Unite4Heritage campaign.

This concert will be another occasion for The International Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra to celebrate its 20th musical season. The Orchestra will perform the Opera of George Bizet, Carmen, at the concert hall “La Seine Musicale” located on the Seguin island at Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.

This concert follows plenty of performances given by The International Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra, notably the performance of the 26th January 2016 at the UNESCO Headquarters to support the #Unite4Heritage campaign and which has brought 1350 spectators.

#Unite4Heritage is a global movement powered by UNESCO that aims to celebrate and safeguard cultural heritage and diversity around the world. Launched in response to the unprecedented recent attacks on heritage, the campaign calls on everyone to celebrate the places, objects and cultural traditions that make the world such a rich and vibrant place.

This campaign tries to bring a global response by protecting the heritage through the related UNESCO conventions and also by working with their partners to monitor and assess the state of heritage under threat across the globe. It is focused on strengthening the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural objects thanks to the 2199 resolution recently adopted by the UN Security Council which aims to prevent properties from crossing borders, supported by a global coalition of different partners. With the same purpose, training and aid programs in the field have also been executed.

Amin Kouider and The International Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra are UNESCO Artist for Peace with the mission of promoting tolerance and a culture of peace.
