The World Orchestra for Peace, UNESCO Artist for Peace, gave the second of the two specially designated UNESCO Concerts for Peace 2018, at the Carmen Würth Forum Künzelsau, Germany. Beethoven´s 9th Symphony was performed on the exact hour, 100 years on, that the Armistice for Peace ending World War 1 was signed on 11 November 1918.

Conducted by Maestro Donald Runnicles, the concert featured the World Orchestra for Peace, an all-star cast of singers, two choruses and musicians of the Würth Philharmoniker to perform this universal hymn to joy, freedom, solidarity and peace.

The role of World Orchestra for Peace as UNESCO Artist for Peace is to extend UNESCO’s message of peace according to which it is up to each and every one of us to build a better future for all, by the tools of education, science, culture as well as communication and information.

The concert was recorded in the latest 4K UHD technology and streamed live around the world, with a viewing audience of more than 1 Million. It will be released as a DVD/BD early in 2019 but in the meantime World Orchestra for Peace Director and Co-Founder, Charles Kaye, would like to send the Orchestra's heartfelt seasonal wishes for a peaceful 2019 to all those visitors to UNESCO´s website with the following exclusive link: CLICK HERE, and on the link enter the password "UNESCO".
