UNESCO launches three major new education reports at Global EFA Meeting

The 2012 Global EFA Meeting (GEM) provided an occasion to launch three major new education reports.

A Task Force of more than 600 young persons around the world contributed to the  Youth Version of the 2012 EFA Global Monitoring Report Be Skilled, Be Employed, Be the Change Generation. 

Within the framework of UNESCO's Global Partnership for Girls’ and Women's Education, From Access to Equality: Empowering Girls and Women through Literacy and Secondary Education makes the case for education as a means for empowerment for girls and women. 

The 2012 Global Education Digest Opportunities lost: The impact of grade repetition and early school leaving reveals the urgent need to address the high numbers of children repeating grades and leaving school before completing primary or lower secondary education.
