UNESCO Associated School in Mexico wins international video contest
The annual PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival invites the world’s youth to submit short, forward-thinking videos on themes of migration, diversity and social inclusion, “One Day as a Migrant”, a video submitted by the Colegio Carol Baur, an ASPnet Secondary School in Mexico, was awarded a prize during the PLURAL+ 2012 award ceremony held in New York on 6 December 2012.
Produced by a group of talented students aged 13-17, "One Day As a Migrant" tells the stories of migrants in Mexico as they undertake journeys in difficult, even violent, conditions in the hope of creating a better life for themselves and their families.
The PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is organized by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
