UNESCO Director-General holds individual meetings with the SMT to discuss specific performance objectives for 2016-2017
As part of the 2016-2017 Overall Performance Review, the Director-General has been meeting bilaterally with members of the Senior Management Team since Wednesday 29 June 216 and will continue to do so until Friday 8 July 2016 in order to discuss, set and approve their objectives and Expected Results, in the framework of their Performance Agreement for the current biennium.
Individual meetings with Senior Managers in this context also provide the opportunity to assess and take stock of lessons learned in relation to their managerial performance over the last biennium, 2014-2015.
The Director-General stressed the need for enhanced accountability at all level of management throughout the various structures (Divisions, Units and Offices) so as to ensure progress in particular in the area of leadership and business continuity in the implementation of the Organizational strategic objectives and in the perspective of the new biennium.
The Director-General will maintain regular dialogue with the Senior Management during the biennium to discuss to review corporate performance in the attainment of the common objectives of the Organization.
