Secondary Logos

Secondary Logos are defined as logos, placed on the right side of the dotted line, to be used together with the UNESCO Logo in connection with:

  • Conventions
  • Institutes
  • Intergovernmental programmes
  • Partnerships
  • Programmes
  • Programme networks
  • Special events in the Member States (anniversaries and prizes)
  • United Nations days, years and decades

The Specifications for Secondary Logos contain guidelines that specify graphic modalities for the creation of secondary logos.

Please note that the creation of secondary logos is limited to exceptional cases that obey to specific rules.
