23 African National Commissions gathered at the training seminar in Senegal
Seminar for French speaking National Commissions for UNESCO in Africa (Dakar, Senegal, 11-13 September 2013)
A regional training seminar was held from 11 to 13 September 2013 in Dakar, Senegal, bringing together 23 National Commissions of the African (French-Speaking) Region. This is the fourth seminar organized in Africa and the last of the series of training events for all regions since the beginning of this biennium.
The seminar was opened by Mr Serigne Mbaye Thiam, Minister of Education of Senegal and Mr Eric Falt, Assistant Director-General for External Relations and Public Information of UNESCO.
The interactive format helped to create a dynamic environment and all the sessions, from the conclusions of the Tripartite Working Group, the Partnership Strategy, to the Participation Programme, preparation of 37 C/4 and 37 C/5 and the 37th General Conference, led to extensive discussions.
