HPA 2013 is the 8th Humanity Photo Awards. HPA 2013 has been officially unveiled. Entrants can participate via its official website www.hpa.org.cn which was launched in both Chinese and English on September 16, 2012. After the international jury evaluates the works, the award ceremony will be held in China in September 2013.

HPA (Humanity Photo Award) is a free worldwide public photographic contest programme. The HPA recorded and preserved the rich and colorful folklore phenomena encompassing most of the countries all over the world and turned into a remarkable international cultural brand.

The HPA has pooled the photos of folklore phenomena in more than 150 countries. We urge more people to take up your camera and record more folklore phenomena of various countries and to participate in the HPA 2013. By dint of the outcome of HPA, we have accumulated a large pool of photographic archives for the World Folklore Image and Video Data Center, through which we can browse the world without leaving home.
