Call for applications for TV producers and film makers

UNESCO Office in Beirut and BBC Arabic are calling for applications from young TV producers and film makers in the media realm to participate in a training workshop in short documentaries making.

This training aims at giving media youth the ability to learn new techniques on how to produce quality and independent programmes.

The training will focus on youth related matters, concerns and its relations within the region. Following the training, 3 topics, suggested by the participants, will be selected to convert into documentaries. This will be done with the mentor from the organizers who will work with participants each in his/her country.

Hence, the training will give chance to young people to express themselves (thoughts, dreams and vision...etc). This will be done through the production of documentaries on various topics of their choice: Education, social relationship, political participation, relationship with Media (Traditional and New ones), work, Religion, relationship with the West…etc under a bigger theme ‘My Generation’.

Who:

  • The participants must be a young media professional or graduate.
  • Fall between the ages of 18 and 30.
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding and/or be working actively in the area of TV production.
  • Be from one of the following countries: Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Tunis and Yemen.
  • Be responsive and timely with the logistical and travel preparations for the training.

Note:

the organizers will cover the travel, accommodation and meals for the participants during the training period in Beirut.
