Director-General on an official visit to Côte d’Ivoire
UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova is on an official visit to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire from 5 to 6 June. During this visit, she is expected to meet the President of the Republic Alassane Ouattara and several government officials, including the Prime Minister Jeannot Ahoussou-Kouadio, Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Kablan Duncan and the Minister of Education Kandia Camara. The Director-General is also expected to meet with United Nations Resident Coordinator and hold a working meeting with the United Nations Country Team.
The Director-General will also meet the First Lady Dominique Ouattara, President of the foundation Children of Africa.
The Director-General will open the consultation meeting with Member States and National Commissions of the African Region on the preparation of the Medium-Term Strategy for 2014-2021 and the programme and budget for 2014-2017.
