Round Table "Universal Empathy: Dostoyevsky without borders”

On October 4, 2021 from 10:00 to 13:00, in Room I of UNESCO House will be held the Round Table "Universal Empathy": Dostoevsky without Borders", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of F.M. Dostoevsky, which is on the list of commemorative dates which are celebrated in association with UNESCO.

This international gathering, which will be attended by prominent scholars, experts, writers and translators from the Russian Federation as well as from Europe and Asia, will focus on issues of refractions of phenomena of world literature and culture in the works of Dostoyevsky. The guests of the dialogue will talk about the global influence of this great writer.

Within the framework of the event the project "In His Own Voice: The Story of F.M. Dostoyevsky's "White Nights" on the Cinema Screens of the World" will be presented.

The event is organized by the A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Permanent Delegation of the Russian Federation.
