The Director-General receives H.R.H. Princess Marie of Denmark
On 14 June 2010, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova received H.R.H. Princess Marie of Denmark at the Organization’s Headquarters.
This was H.R.H. Princess Marie’s first visit to UNESCO. The main purpose of the visit was for the Princess to become better acquainted with the Organization’s work and activities in her role as the Patron of the Danish National Commission for UNESCO since November 2009.
During their meeting, the Director-General and the Princess exchanged views about the important mission of UNESCO and explored ways of increasing their collaboration.
Prior to her meeting with the Director-General, the Princess held a working meeting with representatives of different sectors of the Organization. She also attended the Director-General’s Information Meeting with UNESCO’s Executive Board on 15 June.
