Turkey: UNESCO World Heritage Seminar for Children
On 28 May 2013 Turkish National Commission for UNESCO organized a seminar for children on UNESCO World Heritage.
The event started with the opening speeches, followed by a presentation introducing the world heritage sites around the world, briefly explaining the election criteria and the universality of the World Heritage Sites and the importance of protection, conservation and transmission to future generations.
With the participation of approximately twenty five children from Ankara Municipality Children Assembly between ages of nine and fourteen, this event aimed to raise awareness on World Heritage, the importance and universality of this Programme and to emphasize the consciousness for protection and transmission to future generations.
