UNESCO awards joint Oman-German project

GPS-Adventure Parks has been recognised by UNESCO as an official project of the United Nations Decade for Sustainable Development (2005-2014)

GPS Adventure Parks is a novel concept which allows people to explore natural heritage sites on their own and yet still access information from multimedia based location services.

We send our warmest congratulations to the World Habitat Society, Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge, and the Ministry of Tourism in Oman for their exemplary work and cooperation in winning this recognition.

We see a lot of potential in such projects and we look forward to more of these innovative approaches being deployed throughout the region.
