Renewable Energy Educational Materials & New Research Laboratory Project in Russia

In 2007 the UNESCO Moscow Office in cooperation with the All-Russian Research Institute for Electrification of Agriculture (VIESH) implemented the project focused on the development of an educational and research laboratory and manuals on renewable energy in Russia.

In 2007 the UNESCO Moscow Office in cooperation with the All-Russian Research Institute for Electrification of Agriculture (VIESH) implemented the project focused on the development of an educational and research laboratory and manuals on renewable energy in Russia.

The project provided the necessary tools to improve teaching in the field of renewable energy sources, develop practical and research skills of undergraduate and post-graduate students, stimulate the use of new technologies, and retraining specialists. Within the project, a special programme and strategy for capacity-building in the field of renewable energy was drafted. The integrated scientific/education laboratories on the base of modern exploration complexes were created. Results were shared among the Russian universities and EURONETRES participants.
