UNESCO Moscow Office to Support Michal Kleofas Oginsky`s Archive Collection
The UNESCO Moscow Office supported project aimed to create photo and digital copies of the archive collection of composer, musician and statesman of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Michal Kleofas Oginsky was completed.
The collection held in the Russian State Archive of Ancient Documents and contained 5 930 items of documents, letters, music manuscripts and works was listed and copied on role microfilm. Small part of the archive was digitalized.
A copy of the microfilm as well as the copy of DVD were donated to the State Museum of Theatrical and Musical Culture of Belarus for digitalization in full, thus it will become available to scholars and archivists.
The project will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the archivists of Russia and Belarus and facilitating UNESCO`s principle of open access in the field of archives and museums.
