ALIN wins UNESCO Communication prize for 2012

Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN) is an environmental organization based in Nairobi, Kenya. The aim of ALIN is to promote information and knowledge exchange among communities. Through information shared via ALIN long-running magazine Baobab, communities have learnt practices such use of simple tubular bio-digesters to produce biogas and rock catchment rainwater harvesting. These are now helping them cope with climate change.
