WWAP Donors

The World Water Assessment Programme is currently funded by the Italian government. Since 2007, the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea is providing a generous 2.5M Euro/year grant for WWAP’s main activities.

At the same time, the Umbria region is putting at WWAP disposal, free of charge, the magnificent premises where the WWAP secretariat is currently located, in Villa La Colombella, Perugia, Italy.

In addition to the Italian grant, other donors are contributing to specific WWAP’s activities. In particular the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through UNOPS, is contributing to the World Water Scenario’s project, with a 2-years grant for a total of about 500k USD.

From 2000 to 2006, WWAP was mainly funded by the Japanese Government, with additional contributions from Denmark.
