How to deliver a 5 fold multiplier effect from investment in water infrastructure

Water is the critical enabler for all of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, which means that investment in a wide variety of water infrastructure globally has a disproportionately positive effect - often quoted as a 5-fold multiplier effect.

WWAP Coordinator, Prof. Stefan Uhlenbrook, contributed to the blog of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), explaining the reasons of the 5-fold multiplier effect from investment in water infrastructure, a far larger multiplier effect than usually claimed for infrastructure.
